Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I hope you have been enjoying this holiday period and have had some happy moments with your whānau. I was lucky enough to get away with my son and spend some quality time with him and my immediate family. We spent a lot of time at the beach enjoying the beautiful sunshine. What have you been up to this summer?
It looks as though you have been busy completing Summer Learning Journey activities. I am so sorry it has taken a while for our team to comment on your activities, for some reason, your registration didn’t make it through to us so we didn’t have your blog link. Do you remember registering on the SLJ website? I would love to know so that we don’t miss out on anyone else who might be completing activities that we don’t know about. Anyways, we have a lot of activities to catch up on.
Well done on completing a venn diagram comparing and contrasting Jean Batten and Amelia Earhart. Have you ever completed one of these before? From your post, I learnt that Jean Batten was New Zealand born, female solo pilot. I have never heard of her before so I went and read a little more about her. Did you know that she took a little kitten on both of her famous flights between England and Australia? His name was Buddy.
