This Bird lives in the forest and is a big bird that weighs 650g and is also about 50 cm long. Did you know the feathers on a kereru´s back and head is green.Have you ever heard that in the sunlight kereu can look purple,On a kereru has white feathers on their chest!!!

ReplyDeleteYou have provided some interesting facts about the Kererū (Wood Pidgeon). They do have a purple sheen to their feathers as you've pointed out. Perhaps next time you be a little more specific about where they live.
They are very plump! I had the chance to see quite a few of them on my last visit to the zoo. Have you ever seen one in real life?
