Madam C.J Walker was born in December the 23th 1867 which means she was born just 2 days before Christmas.But Sadly she died on the 25th of May 1919.She was best known for one of the first female-self made millionaires in the United States.Before Madam C.J Walker was famous and wealthy,she was born to a poor family in Delta, Louisiana.Madam

I didn’t know anything about her so I learnt some new information through reading you post! Was there any particular reason you chose her?
This activity asks you to write a sentence about how Madam C.J Walker’s work has specifically had an impact on the lives of others, so could you please have a go at re-doing this activity with some more detail? Then I can award you the full points :)
It would be great if you could find something specific that Madam C.J Walker did that impacted people’s lives, for example I found that her big home in New York, provided a space for social gatherings for the African-American community, which would have impacted their lives significantly as segregation (the laws in the USA that kept black and white people separated) was still happening, and having a sense of community and family during hard times is very important for people’s wellbeing. I hope this makes sense!
