Today I be talking about Tongan Language. Today it is the start of Tongan language week .My family speaks Tonga. A lot of relatives comes over for a feast to celebrate our Tongan language week. It is always a fun day to celebrate with our love ones.
This week is all about celebrating Tongan Language week. I always speak English in school but because I have Tongan friends I sometime speak Tongan to them and then they will understand what I am saying. I always speak Tongan at home its like once I go school I speak English then speak Tongan but then when I go home, I have to speak Tongan because I was brought up with my Tongan language. In school what we do in Tongan Language week is that we do some Art and other things.
Today I have learn that the use of the Tonga language NZ- New Zealand has grown since 2001. And that however their use of Tongans has doped from 57% to 53%. And their are more facts that I learn like that Events are being held around the country until Saturday the 8th of September. But the last faced I learned was that Tongans are the third largest pacific pop-lash in NZ.
